What to do When You Face Sexual Harassment

Unwanted sexual advances, lewd comments, and taking advantage of others in employment situations or work environments is certainly in the news.

What do you do if you find yourself a victim of these situations?

Make sure you document whatever you can.

Keep copies of emails, notes, texts, voice mails.

Compare experiences with co-workers or other people who have contact with the alleged abuser.

There is usually a pattern to the behavior of sexual deviants so note it and document it.

Take notes at the time the events happen to detail the circumstances and experiences.

Report the activities to your human resources department and keep copies of whatever you submit.

It is very difficult to deal with people in positions of power who attempt to sexually abuse and harass you.

However, the more these activities come to light the better it will be for victims.
