If you are a victim of a hit-and-run crash, you may collect against the other driver’s insurance. Of course, you must find the driver and then proceed against his insurance. You may also seek punitive damages for leaving the scene. If you are unable to locate the hit-and-run driver, then you will have to seek reimbursement from your own underinsured or uninsured policy provisions.
