Some injured workers will return to work at a rate of pay that is less than their normal job.
This is because they have some sort of restriction or limitation.
The Workers’ Compensation insurance company is supposed to pay 2/3rds of the difference between the old rate and the new rate.
It is called temporary partial disability or TPD.
Your regular pay will usually come from your employer and your TPD will come from Work Comp.
If your situation becomes permanent due to your doctor making your restrictions permanent, then you may be entitled the pay differential over your lifetime.
