Patricia Marxmiller is now permanently disabled and wheelchair-bound, will never walk again without a walker, will never return to a job she loved and suffers pain not only in several areas of her body but phantom pain and emotional distress, her lawyer told the jury Wednesday.

Terrible tragedy. The issue in these type of cases is whether there is some type of design flaw or failure in repairs or upkeep of the slide and the rafts. Engineers would have to examine and test the ride to determine what caused the boy’s death and whether it was somehow linked to the mistakes.

A Carlinville man was killed Saturday night when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a car that was going the wrong way on Illinois 16 in Litchfield, Illinois State Police said.Robert Reiher, 49, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
