A construction worker was injured Wednesday when the roof trusses at a job site collapsed and pinned him underneath the construction debris, the Springfield Fire Department said.The incident occurred in the 3400 block of Liberty Drive, in the Parkway Pointe shopping area, at a construction site for a new strip mall about 3 p.m. The employee had just climbed down from ladder when the wooden roof trusses collapsed.Firefighters said the victim was talking when they arrived.
