The basis of lawsuit is failure to protect resident privacy and dignity. The question is what are the damages, and how much is the insurance company willing to pay to avoid a trial. Certainly is shocking and disgusting.

You better believe it. You have to wait years to get your day in court and then four or five months to get the written decision. Not enough workers to get the cases before the judge in a timely manner.

In cases such as these, victims may sue the pilot, the hot air balloon company and others who may have had a role in allowing the pilot to fly. The problem may be not enough insurance to cover all the damages with 16 dead.
