What happens to health insurance and Medicaid will make a large impact on many people who are applying for Social Security Disability and SSI. This is the only way a large number people are able to receive medical treatment, and without proper treatment their disability case will be denied. The reason is that Social Security bases almost all of its decision on the medical records. Therefore, little or no medical treatment means no Social Security Disability for the people who do not have access to health insurance.

Taylorville, Jerseyville nursing facilities fined for substandard care

A Taylorville nursing home where a resident died after falling and hitting her head while workers tried to move her from her bed to a wheelchair paid a reduced fine of $16,250 in connection with the Aug. 22 incident.The settlement was among fines leveled against nursing homes, including Jerseyville Nursing and Rehab in Jerseyville, that were processed in October, November and December by the Illinois Department of Public Health.Public Health originally fined Taylorville Care Center $25,000 for

A man is suing Amazon after his 84-year-old mother was fatally struck by a delivery truck two weeks ago in Side Little Village.

All parties involved are sued by the victim’s family. This included the driver, the owner of the truck, and Amazon whose products were being delivered. The injured party must prove negligence on the part of each party in order to collect from them.

Tragic accident. Do not drink and drive. The problem with cases like this is that the driver did not have a valid license and most likely did not have insurance. The victim’s family will have a difficult time collecting damages if there is no insurance, unless the other driver has a large amount of assets.
