Terrible tragedy. The issue in these type of cases is whether there is some type of design flaw or failure in repairs or upkeep of the slide and the rafts. Engineers would have to examine and test the ride to determine what caused the boy’s death and whether it was somehow linked to the mistakes.
State Police said they charged a 31-year-old St. Louis man with driving under the influence after a vehicle he was driving struck a tree along Interstate 64 in Washington County. Two of his passengers died.
